Local 158 Headquarters

Interested in joining? If you are interested in becoming an operating engineer and you have journeyman level skills, we would like to hear from you. We are always looking for skilled operators to join our ranks. However, depending on the time of year, we place out of work members before looking outside the membership. You can forward us an up to date resume, listing your skills and job experience, which we will keep on file until we need your skills. The best time to contact us is during the peak work period of late spring through fall. Of course, we always place our members first.

I
nterested in training? Our training facility is only open to active members of Local 158 and registered apprentices. If you do not possess journeyman level skills but are interested in learning, we have a NYS registered apprenticeship 4 year program.  Check the information on the training tab.
